You’re spoiled for choice – but every option delights: the family-friendly ski area Hochoetz–Kühtai lies right outside your door: manageable, varied and relaxed. Kühtai is also easy to reach by shuttle in just 15 minutes directly from your doorstep. Sölden offers world-class skiing up to 3,340 m, and Gurgl attracts visitors with sunny, wide slopes above 3,000 m – a dream for every ski fan.
Tip:
Your ski ticket automatically includes both ski areas – Hochoetz and Kühtai. For an additional charge, you can also get the Ötztal Superskipass, valid in Hochoetz–Kühtai, Sölden, Gurgl, Vent, Niederthai and Gries – over 360 km of slopes in total.

Snowshoe Trails
Marked snowshoe trails start directly from your accommodation in Ochsengarten, leading into deep snowy landscapes. On the high-altitude trails of Hochoetz, the Feldring Alm and Kühtai, unforgettable panoramic views await you.
Ski Touring
Just outside your door, varied routes lead into high-alpine terrain – from gentle ascents to more demanding tours. The surrounding peaks and broad slopes offer breathtaking views and unforgettable nature experiences off the pistes.
Tobogganing and Winter Hiking
Winter hiking trails and toboggan runs are available in Ochsengarten, Marlstein and on the Feldringer Böden – or in Kühtai, just 15 minutes away, on a real World Cup toboggan track.
Cross-Country Skiing
Fancy skating or classic style? Then head to the easy loop trail in Ochsengarten, into Kühtai or directly to the major cross-country centers in Längenfeld and Niederthai.
Discover Frozen Beauty
Dress warmly and follow the sparkle! Walk around the frozen Lake Piburg and glide across its surface on ice skates, marvel at the Stuibenfall waterfall in Umhausen, cross the panoramic suspension bridge in Längenfeld or enjoy a peaceful winter hike to the Feldring Alm – with a cozy toboggan ride back to the starting point. Along the way you’ll be accompanied by artistic ice formations, crunching snow and enchanting tranquility.
Long Season – Something for Everyone
At around 2,000 meters in Hochoetz, Kühtai and the other high-altitude areas of the Ötztal, winter sports fans are guaranteed snow from autumn well into spring. Even when spring has already arrived in the valley and the rest of the family is perhaps heading out for early hikes, bike tours or climbing adventures.
